This week’s highlighted campaign is “Na Wahine O Kupono” (meaning Women of Excellence) from Total Life Recovery. Total Life Recovery is a faith based and gender specific prison program in Hawaii that works with women to rehabilitation them mentally, spiritually, emotionally and physically. It works with women who want to change their lives by giving them the tools to do so.
Full disclosure, the video was project managed by OrangeRoc, my current agency. I only saw the video a few days ago after the news about the two Telly Awards it won came in: a 2012 Silver Telly Award for the non-profit category and a 2012 Bronze Telly for the religious/spirituality category in broadcast/film production. (In case you don’t know, winning a Telly Award is kind of a big deal!)
Anyways, I’m not highlighting the campaign as a plug for my agency, but because I think it’s an excellent piece of non-profit marketing for a great program and a worthy cause, l but I’ll let you decide for yourself.
Before you watch – more full disclosure: the video is emotionally charged and addresses some very intense and violent experiences in these young women’s lives.
What do you think? Worth highlighting?
